Afraid to awaken the mother of all life. I stood in front of her face waiting to find the right moment to announce myself. A light breeze pasted across her face pushing her hair back as she opened her eyes....
she rolled over and nearly me with what looked like the stump of a tree in her massive stone hand. 'Hey! you almost hit me with that tree, 'Mother Nature'!"
Then she got up and started walking toward me as if she didn't see me. She nearly stepped on me.. a couple of times actually. Dang, Mother Nature is kinda clumsy. "Hey! watch where you're going! you almost smashed me!" She never said a word as she rolled her eyes and walked into the forest. I ran after her. I had to ask if she could make it 80 degrees forever so I could go swimming every day. "Wait Mother Nature!! I need to ask you a favor!"
Then she swung her arm around and almost hit me with what looked like the stump of a tree she was holding in her massive stone hand. "Hey Mother Nature! You should be more careful! you almost hit me with that tree stump"
hey, 'anonymous' here. my computer's acting up or something and keeps posting stuff twice. I guess anonymous posters can't delete stuff, so could the owner of this blog delete my repeats please? thanks I think there's another one on the coffee story too.. sorry
okay, so anyway, Mother Nature walked into the forest. I dont think she realized that I was having trouble keeping up with her. Every one step she took was like fifteen of mine. I also think she may not have heard me talking to her. "Mother NAAAAAAAAAAAAAATUUUUUUUUURRRE! Hey!...Wait up!"
Suddenly, she stopped and turned, looking straight at me with those weird, vacant eyes. I assumed she had heard me and was waiting for me to catch up, but when I reached her and stopped to catch my breath, she suddenly grabbed me by my head and drop-kicked me over the trees, I hurtled through the air, flailing my limbs in a desperate attempt to gain control of my trajectory, to no avail.
I think I know where this sculpture is! Hope you had a wonderful holiday. Looking forward to writing a bit about Mother Nature. :-)
ReplyDeleteWhere?
ReplyDelete"Hey, how's it going!" I said cheerfully with a wide grin.
ReplyDeleteShe just stared at me.
"So your hair is an unusual color, there. What's with that? Plus, your face is something. Also, sorry to wake ya' up. You look really tired."
She rolled over apparently trying to go back to sleep.
"So, are ya' going to say something? Or maybe you just think you're too good for me, just because you're the mother of all life."
she rolled over and nearly me with what looked like the stump of a tree in her massive stone hand.

ReplyDeleteI KNEW she thought she was too good for me! I thought, grimacing with rage as I gurtled toward the distant, tree-covered hills.
